SSM Among 100 Best Places to Work

(September 7, 2010) - SSM Health Care was listed among the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare today, Sept. 7 by Modern Healthcare magazine.

Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare recognizes outstanding employers in the health care industry on a national level. Specific rankings on the list will be announced Oct. 18.

The recognition is based on two parts: a detailed benefits and policies questionnaire filled out by a company and the random selection of 400 employees who were asked to complete an online survey.

(August 23, 2010) For the eighth consecutive year, Sister Mary Jean Ryan, FSM, Chair/CEO of SSM Health Care, has been named one of the 100 most powerful people in health care by Modern Healthcare magazine. Sister Mary Jean is one of very few individuals - and the only Catholic nun - who has made the annual ranking for eight straight years. She has shared the spotlight with presidents, presidential candidates, federal officials and congressional movers and shakers. The list was unveiled today.

Sister Mary Jean Ryan was ranked No. 19 on this year�s list. Others named to this year�s ranking include President Barack Obama (No. 1), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (No. 2) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (No. 3).
